Overview
At Travelers Guide to Healing, we believe in radical transparency about data collection. This website is designed to collect as little information as possible while still allowing you to contact us.
We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not sell, share, or monetize any visitor data. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what minimal information passes through our infrastructure.
What We Actually Collect
Contact Form Only: When you submit our contact form, you provide your name, email, subject, and message. This information is sent directly to an email service (AWS Lambda) and is not stored in any database we control. We receive it as an email and handle it like any personal correspondence.
Web Hosting Logs: Our hosting provider (DreamHost) maintains standard server logs that include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These logs are used for technical troubleshooting and security purposes. We do not actively review or analyze these logs for tracking purposes.
That's it. We do not use cookies for tracking, we do not collect analytics data, and we do not have user accounts or databases storing visitor information.
Cookies and External Resources
Our Website: We do not set any cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. The site functions without requiring any cookies.
Third-Party Resources: Our website loads fonts from Google Fonts and styling from Tailwind CDN. These services may set their own cookies or log requests according to their respective privacy policies. We chose these services for their reliability, but we do not control their data practices.
You can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of our website.
Third-Party Services We Use
DreamHost (Hosting): Our website is hosted on DreamHost servers. They maintain standard server logs as described above. Review their privacy policy at dreamhost.com.
AWS Lambda (Email): Contact form submissions are sent to Amazon Web Services Lambda for email delivery. AWS processes the message to send it to our email inbox. Review their privacy policy at aws.amazon.com.
Google Fonts & Tailwind CDN: We load fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and styling from cdn.tailwindcss.com. These services may log requests. We have no control over their data collection practices.
Data Security
Since we don't store visitor data in databases or use tracking systems, there is very little to secure on our end. Your contact form submissions are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connection to AWS Lambda for email delivery.
Once we receive your message as an email, it is treated like any personal correspondence and stored in our email provider's system according to their security practices.
Your Rights and Choices
Since we don't maintain a database of visitor information, there is no stored data to access, correct, or delete. If you've contacted us via email, you can request that we delete your email message from our inbox.
We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. If you contact us, we will only respond to your specific inquiry.
To block third-party cookies from Google Fonts or Tailwind CDN, adjust your browser's privacy settings. The website will still function normally with these blocked.
